I am a firm believer in letting work speak for itself but if after taking a look at my portfolio you still aren't convinced, I can tell:

That means I treat every project as an opportunity to create powerful, unique work. I stray away from gimmicks and challenge myself to go above and beyond what is required for any assignment.

My work has been featured or published in US Weekly, Vice, the Art Institute of Chicago, Bandcamp, Bloomberg TV, CES, Skift, displayed on the Marriott Marquis in Times Square, in MIT, SoFar Sounds, the Rebuild Foundation, Vegan Fitness and Buck’s Life Magazine, two exhibitions at the Monomus Gallery, Connecticut, and my collaboration with Isabella Duicu Palowitch as photographer and web developer yielded us a national award from Graphic Design USA

WHO I AM
My name is Matt Mateiescu, I have been working as a photographer and filmmaker for the past 9 years.
I am deeply passionate about travel, subcultures, music, combat sports, dance, and humanitarian work, particularly with Team Rubicon— a disaster relief organization.
I am drawn to visceral experiences and my work tends to reflect that. I prefer dark and moody over bright and airy but can shoot in whatever condition the assignment takes me.
